Ale mate

Another gig was played at the Jug Of Ale, Moseley on the 25th February. We're quickly coming to the ten mark so who knows what's happening in word of mouth.

Help us out!

Jaymes the bass player has done a runner again. No details are available. So, should anyone capable of playing bass read about this please contact us if you want to step in.

Let the record spin...

Finally, in a bid to arouse further interest in the band a professionally-cut demo is to be recorded which will then be despatched to various record companies.

Here's hoping the band get noticed after months of hard gigging.

January 2006

Kick of the New Year

Two more gigs were played in the New Year. The first on the 13th January at the Jug Of Ale, Moseley and the second on the 27th January at the Flapper & Firkin, Birmingham City Centre. Being at the latter gig I missed half of the act through waiting to get served for a drink. Grrrr, bar steward.

November 2005

Bar Bar Bar

It's a big one! The boys have been asked to play at the Bar Academy in the City Centre of Birmingham on the 1st December. Tickets are going on sale very soon so expect to see a bunch of nutters by the name of Newclear View running up to you trying to force one down your throat. You lav it really!!!!

Guess who's back...?

After good drinks Jaymes is back with the band.

Acoustic Night

On 20th October an email was received from Hodgepodge Entertainment asking for participation in an acoustic night. So, Newclear View have arranged for Dan Woodhouse, their lead guitartist, to show up and give the good people a piece of his talents. If you've never heard The Drifter song then grab a chance to listen to it and others on the 16th November at the Bristol Pear of Selly Oak in Birmingham. Guaranteed to have you captivated!

October 2005

Wot no bass player...?

Unfortunate news has arrived. Jaymes the band bass player has decided to leave. In an email to Tony on Monday 17th October he declared that he was going to music college in the next week and needed time to concentrate on his studies. Rather abrupt, but the band wish him all the best.

Everest

At last, a full track has been released. After much begging and pleading to the band Everest has been made available. Nippy on over to the downloads page and get a full track in yer!

Speak when you're bloody spoken to

A new band forum has been created. Response has been, well, slow to say the least, but hopefully more people should join in the "banter". Hmmm, here's hoping... ;)

Podcast this

Anybody into padcasting? Well, the band have been contacted by Gary Dring, a DJ who runs a podcast station called Clever Little Pod . From this the Everest song was broadcasted on Saturday 15th October. Download a copy of the show while you still can!

Gig Three

The third gig of Friday 7th October has been and gone. Yep, there were a couple of technical difficulties, as always seems to be the case, but overall a ruddy good gig! Consequently, being moved from the highlight of the night to the second in line may have had a devasting affect on the last act. Apparently, after Newclear View vacated their lead singer seemed a bit sheepish with his diminishing audience.

September 2005

Close, but no cigar...

Jaimie Carter from Summer Records had invited the band to London for talks on a possible record deal. However, after a cease to communications this appears to have been called off.

Gig Two

Newclear View have played their second gig of Friday 9th September at the The Jug Of Ale, Moseley. The web author couldn't be there as he was having a dirty weekend down in Devon.

August 2005

Summer's here

The band have been contacted by a record producer! Jaimie Carter of Summer Records advised on Thursday 4th August that he liked the Everest sample and wants to disucss doing a record! This has sent quite a buzz around the band so watch this space on future happenings!
